Bukky, Molly Molly Bukky is a non-traditional student who is married with two young children. Molly received her B.A. in sociology from the University of Colorado at Denver. She teaches an introductory level sociology course and is working on a thesis which focuses upon the rural aspects of the sociology of education. |

Brunson-Bates, Jamie Jamie Brunson-Bates is from Pickerington, Ohio. She received her B.A. in Sociology-Criminology with a minor in Political Science at Ohio University, Lancaster. Her areas of interest are crime and deviance, gender and equality, and media influences.

Campbell, Christopher Chris Campbell received a B.A. from Ohio University in Sociology-Criminology with minors in Philosophy, Political Science, and Psychology. He is currently teaching Introduction to Criminal Justice. His areas of emphasis are criminology and social psychology, fields in which he plans to acquire a Ph.D.

Castle, Luke Luke Castle is from Ada, Ohio. He received his Bachelors degree from The Ohio State University. Luke’s research interests include the sociology of sport and gender studies, and he is a member of the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport (NASSS).

Cvelbar, Christine Christine Cvelbar is from Mentor, Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Ohio University. Her general areas of interest focus on inequality and the elderly, particularly in the Appalachian region.

Dahl, Garrett Garrett Dahl is from White Bear Lake, Minnesota. He received his undergraduate training at St. Cloud State University where he studied sociology. He has broad interests in all areas of sociology and is developing his Master's thesis on tactical repertoires of non-violent civil disobedience in social movements.

Deaton, Ann Ann Deaton is originally from Eaton, Ohio, and has a B.S. in journalism from Ohio University. Her areas of interest include gender, poverty, and qualitative research. For her master's thesis, she is conducting a research project on gender and volunteer work in Appalachian Ohio.

Long, Brandon Brandon Long is from Hilliard, Ohio. He spent nearly six years in the active duty Air Force before coming to Ohio University and receiving his B.A. in Sociology-Criminology with a minor in Spanish. Brandon's interests are police and society and punishment and society. After graduate school he hopes to work in federal law enforcement.

Mowrey, Tabetha Tabetha Mowrey is a native of Vermont and received her B.A. from Ohio University in Sociology-Criminology. She is completing her comprehensive exams in juvenile delinquency and sociological theory.

Nutter, Kathryn Katie Nutter has a B.A. in Psychology and research interests in social inequality, gender, sexuality, and social psychology. Her master's thesis focuses on the expression and construction of sexual identity in the workplace. She will be attending the University of Florida to pursue her Ph.D. in Sociology.

Otu, Edwin Edwin Otu is an alumnus of the University of Ghana with a B.A. in Sociology and Information Studies. His areas of specialization lie in the social construction of gender, gender and development, and queer theory in the third world. His desire is to have an established career in academia and help materialize the prospects of a development agenda.

Sefcik, Lori Lori Sefcik studies policing and punishment. She is currently teaching a Social Problems class. Lori plans to acquire a job in the field after graduating and eventually pursue a doctorate.

Tolle, Jane Jane Tolle graduated from Shawnee State University with a B.A. in Psychology. Her interests concern how religious conceptions of calling and identity influence behavior and perpetuate stereotypes. Her thesis explores how Calvinism in Appalachia may be linked to middle class resistance to monetary aid programs.

Tufail, Aisha AishaTufail received her B.A. at Ohio University in Sociology. Her research focuses on gender and she is developing her thesis on drag kings and gender indenties. In addition to working on her thesis, she is teaching an Introduction to Sociology course.
