Interested in a career in law?
Come and meet and speak with practicing attorneys and have your questions answered.
The College of Arts and Sciences is hosting a series of panel presentations for
students interested in learning more about legal careers. The panels will be held in
Bentley Hall, rooms 015 and 023, beginning at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2003.
See schedule below for details.
If you are considering a career in law, this event will be a great opportunity to
meet and speak practicing attorneys, all of whom are graduates of the College of
Arts & Sciences at Ohio University. The panels will each feature four to five
lawyers, who will speak to students on various topics, including what law firms are
looking for choosing a field of law, the challenges and rewards of legal careers, and
legal ethics. They will speak about their own careers and answer your questions.
There will be a total of ten lawyers participating in the panel sessions. They
come from law firms in Ohio as well as other states. Their areas of specialization
include trade law, litigation, and commercial law. The panel will also include a
recruitment officer in one of the largest law firms in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
