Pre-Law
Last year, Ohio University students were accepted into Capital University Law School, Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Duke University School of Law, Georgetown University Law Center, Harvard Law School, New York University School of Law, Northwestern University School of Law, The Ohio State University, University of Akron School of Law, University of Chicago Law School, University of Michigan Law School, and many other exceptional institutions. The journey to one of these schools goes beyond just picking a major or getting a good score on the LSAT. Although those steps are important, students who wish to secure a place for themselves in law school after finishing at Ohio University must also consider summer internship participation and student organization involvement as part of a successful college experience. The Pre-Law Advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences is here to help all students interested in attending law school regardless of their major. Our webpage offers links to important information about choosing and pursuing a career in the legal system. If you don't see what you need (or even if you do but just want to stop in to discuss your career path, academic schedule, the LSAT, or the weather), feel free to make an appointment to meet with Jen Schomburg Kanke, Academic and Pre-Law Advisor, by calling 740-593-2845.
